3. a) Numerical: Charts filed in order from smallest number to highest
b) Geographical: Charts filed in accordance to the areas the vessel is trading in.
Charts should be stored in folios or chart drawers to keep them clean and crease/tear free. Should be folded in half, print side in to protect print side. Chart corrections should be applied to charts as soon as they become available.
