Materials Required:
Blue paper 7.5cm x 7.5cm.
Pale Blue quilling paper: 2mm and 3mm wide.
It’s A Boy sequin confetti: SEQ47.
Crimper/ribbler.
Pencil and ruler.
12.5cm Square of tracing paper.
UHU All Purpose Adhesive.
P. V.A. Craft Adhesive.
Card mount: AP52U - Hammer White.
To Make The Card:
Make sure the tracing paper is exactly 12.5cm
square and draw a grid with five 2.5cm squares
across and five down. Mark out and cut the blue
paper into nine 2.5cm squares.
Starting with the centre square glue the blue
squares onto the tracing paper to make a chequer
board pattern. Leave the four corner squares
empty as they are outside the aperture area.
Cut eight 12.5cm lengths of 2mm quilling
paper and glue them along the edges of the
squares placing the centre of the quilling paper
strip midway over the join.
Glue the work behind the card aperture
making sure the grid is absolutely square with
the card and glue the flap closed.
Glue star and moon sequins onto the blue
squares and It’s a Boy sequins onto the white
squares. Use UHU all purpose (black top)
adhesive for sequins as P.V.A. does not stick
them well.
Crimp or ribble the 3mm quilling paper
and glue onto the front of the card in a square
overlapping the corners. You may find it helps
to rule a pencil line 1.2cm in from each edge
first to keep the square even.
