I made the dots different colors for different sections so you can tell which ones to connect.
Prick all the holes shown. Then for the roses prick the center of each star and the end of each
arm of the star. Where the pillars are indicated prick each of the 4 corners only.

Start stitching with the outline of the cakes usingwhite thread and a running stitch.
Work the base of the cake topper in white with running stitch.Usecolor to match your
ribbonto work the swags on the sides of the cake in 1-4. Work the rings on the cake top
in gold using 1-4 stitching.

For each rose, stitch each arm from point to center so your thread matches the diagram.
You will use thread to match the ribbon.

Now you will be working with the ribbon. Use 1/8" wide satin fabric ribbon. Tape end to card
front between the spokes of a star. Thread the ribbon over and under goinground and round
the star, pushing the ribbon to the center as you go. (start with about 18 inches of ribbon)
When you cannot go around any more, trim the ribbon end to about 1/4" and tuck it under
the rose. Secure with a stitch.

After all roses are worked you will complete the pillars. Use a craft knife to connect the two
pricked holes at the top and at the bottom of each pillar (to make a __ across the top and
bottom) do not cut vertically. You will probably want to use white ribbon here. Thread a piece
of ribbon thru the top and bottom slots of each pillar and secure on the back with tape.

Work the cake plate with gold or a color to complement your cake trim.
