Penetration of water or misting, condensation
CHECKING FRONT OF HEADLIGHT
Water jet test:

As far as it is possible, remove the blanking
covers over the vent holes.

Explain to the customer that this is a natural
phenomenon which does not constitute an
incident and there is no risk of corrosion (see
section in driver’s handbook entitled
operating incidents ) .
The condensation will disappear when the
headlights are switched on; the amount of
time it takes for the condensation to disperse
depends on the humidity of the ambient air.

If the customer insists that you take some action, dry the headlight as follows:
• Blow dry air, if possible (such as the type of air used for paint booths).
• Dry naturally by switching on the headlamps for a few minutes until the condensation disappears.
