Place the cartridge on the workbench so
the cartridge is right side up and the
arrow on the waste hopper is pointing
towards you.

Holding the drum shutter open with your
left hand. Lift the top right side of the
shutter up with your right hand to dis-
lodge the shutter post from its cradle.

Slide the drum shutter right to remove
the shutter post from the cradle on the
left side.
NOTE:
Do not loose the drum
shutter tension spring that sits on the left
drum shutter post.

Using a drill with a 5/64 bit, drill a hole into
the raised plastic that covers the cartridge
pin on the back right side of the waste
hopper.
NOTE:
Drill just far enough to
expose the cartridge pin and enable the
pin to be pushed through the cartridge.

Step 5
Using a drill with a 17/64 bit, drill a hole
between the notch on the back left side
and raised wall on the top left of the
waste hopper. This will remove part of the
inner supporting wall, making it easier to
remove the cartridge pin.

NOTE:
The drum shutter will cover all the
holes made and no leaking will occur if
done correctly.

With a dental pick or other bent extraction
tool, push the cartridge pin out from the
back right of the waste hopper.

Using a drift punch and hammer, push the
cartridge pin in just far enough so the
waste hopper and toner hopper can be
separated.
NOTE:
Do not try to push the
pin all the way through the cartridge; this
could damage the wall that holds the PCR
Saddle, making the waste hopper useless.

Set the toner hopper aside.
Step 9
Using a flat blade screwdriver and
needlenose pliers push the cartridge pin
back through the waste hopper.

Remove the screw holding the bearing
drum hub on the gear of the drum.
(See Photo 9)
Remove the hub.

Grab the drum by the gear, lift and rotate
the drum counter clockwise while pulling
the drum out away from the drum contact
axle pin.

Lift the PCR out of the PCR saddles.
(See Photo 11)
Clean the PCR saddle with a swab and
alcohol, clean the PCR with a PCR cleaner.

Remove the two screws holding the wiper
blade. Remove the wiper blade.

Step 14
Dump the waste toner. Using dry com-
pressed air or a vacuum, clean the waste
hopper.

While holding the mag roller, pull the end
cap away from the hopper.

Remove the screw holding the
contact mag roller end cap.

Pull the end cap away from the
toner hopper.
NOTE:
The mag
roller contact plat will stay
attached to the mag roller.

Remove the screw holding the
end cap on the gear side of the
toner hopper

Lift the mag roller away from the hopper.
Remove the mag roller drive gear and the
mag roller bushing.

Using dry compressed air blow off the
mag roller. Clean the mag roller with
Future Graphics mag roller cleaner, anhy-
drous ethanol, or other non-filming clean-
er.

Do not loose the c-shaped bearing
that sits in the mag roller stabilizing bar.

Remove the two large gears shown in
Photo 19

Remove the two screws holding the doctor
blade.

Remove the doctor blade. Clean the doctor
blade using alcohol and a lint-free cloth.
Step 22
Dump the remaining toner from the toner
hopper. Using dry compressed air or a vac-
uum, clean the toner hopper.
Step 23
Fill with toner.

Reassemble in reverse order.
