QUALITY CRITERIA

Youth participation and involvement of young people

 

 

What do you have to keep in mind in the process of involvement of young people:

-          to give people knowledge about idea and all the projects elements, to clarification of ideas,

-          give opportunity to choose the way they want to work (ex. Promotion),

-          let they know the aims for all the task and resources they have,

-          sharing the work and responsibilities,

-          asking opinion,

-          setting the rules,

-          trust,

-          to find something in common,

-          to find and present different methods to achieve the goals,

-          youth decision,

-          explore possible weakness & strengths,

-          to convince about personal abilities,

-          to convince that project can be useful challenge,

 

 

Involvement of youth – methods and forms:

PREPARATION:

-          brainstorm,

-          selection from prepared topics,

-          together write the form,

 

IMPLEMENTATION:

-          special time (gap in the programme) for a special interests groups organized by youth,

-          to choose together time, place and topics of the activities,

-          exhibition of the material products of youth work: drawing, painting, photos,

-          meeting related to finances during the implementation,

-          to give tasks related to money,

-          energizers, games, workshops provided by youth.

 

EVALUATION

-          a spy game,

-          competition,

-          team ABC – questions about the exchange,

-          photo exhibition (gallery); to show a exchange day by day and remind all the things happened,

-          report fulfilling; what to put in the report – brain storm,

-          evaluation forms made by them,

-          articles, web-sides,

-          work on the plan, schedule of the exchange (youth),

-          “the box” with the beginning like…..

b)     I didn’t like…

c)      The most interesting thing to me…

d)     I still would like to…

e)      I have learnt …

f)       I was surprised …..
