I am studying
the differences between a direct translation (from Danish into English) and a transitive translation (from Danish into Polish via another language)
and the translators’ background
because I want to find out
which translation is closer to the original, which one has more shifts
and how thetranslators’ background can influence the target text
in order to understand
whether transitive translation of this kind of texts (philosophy) is acceptable at all
how to improve the effectiveness of transitive translation.
