This headboard is the correct width for standard or twin size box spring and mattress.
See p. 860 for a photo of the completed work. A full-size layout drawing on a weld-
ing table or similar surface is a necessary first step before beginning the work.

BE MITERED AND WELDED TO THE FRAME AFTER BENDING.

BAR SO THAT IT BLENDS FROM
7/8” SQUARE TO 1” SQUARE.
7/8” STOCK IS USED FOR THE
TWIST BECAUSE 1” STOCK WOULD
RESULT IN A TWIST THAT IS PRO-
PORTIONALLY TOO LARGE FOR
THE REST OF THE FRAME.
BEND THE TWISTED BAR HOT
IN A HOSSFELD BENDER OR
AROUND A FORM 16 5/8”
INSIDE RADIUS.
