About the Author
Hugh Mynne was bom in 1950 in Crosby, England. He graduated
from the University College of North Wales with a B.A. Honours
degree in religious studies. His early spiritual training was in the
Japanese Zen tradition, and he obtained a preliminary "Kensho"
(glimpse of reality) within this tradition.
Mr. Mynne currently lives in Ireland, where he gives semi-
nars and workshops on shamanic techniques of healing, and coor-
dinates a group studying the Faerie Tradition. He is married to the
esoteric artist Eve Reid, and they share their cottage in County
Derry with twenty-five cats.

Can it be said that we are all Celts? Certainly Western civiliza-
tion owes as much, if not more, to our Celtic heritage as to Greek
and Roman influences.
While the origins of the Celtic peoples are shrouded in the
mists of time, they seem to have come from a civilization centered
around Greece and the Aegean Sea in the third and fourth mil-
lennia B.C., moving out across Europe and occupying areas from
Russia to Spain and finally, Scotland and Ireland in 1472 B.C.
