YARN
(75% micro denier acrylic/25% bamboo; 3 oz/85 g,
251 yds/230 m skein): 12 oz.
Shown in: #0005 Ocean Spray.
One size US G-6 (4.25 mm) crochet hook or size
to obtain gauge.
Yarn needle
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Scarf measures approximately 7 3/4"/19.5 cm wide x 70 1/2"/179 cm long.
GAUGE
In cable pattern, 17 1/2 sts and 18 rows = 4"/10 cm.
STITCHES USED
Chain (ch), single crochet (sc), slip stitch (sl st).
SPECIAL TERMS
FPdc: Front-post double crochet—Yarn over, insert hook from front to back and then to front again around post of stitch,
yarn over and draw up loop, [yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook] twice.
Front Cross: Skip next 2 FPdc 2 rows below, FPdc around next 2 FPdc 2 rows below; working in front of the 2 FPdc just

Rows 57–79: Repeat Rows 49–55 three times.
Rows 81–87: Repeat Rows 9–15.
Rows 89–291: Repeat Rows 21–87 three more times.
Rows 293–309: Repeat Rows 21–37.
Row 311: Repeat Row 19.
Rows 313 and 315: Repeat Row 15.
Rows 317 and 319: Repeat Row 11.
Rows 321 and 323: Repeat Row 7.
Rows 325 and 327: Repeat Row 5.
Row 329 (Last Row): Ch 1, sc in each sc and FPdc across, turn. Do not fasten off. Rotate piece so that WS is facing you
and you are ready to work along a long side edge.
EDGING
Round 1 (WS): Ch 1, sc evenly spaced along all edges of scarf, working 3 sc in each corner; join with sl st in first sc, turn.
Round 2 (RS): Ch 1, sc in first st, ch 3, *skip next sc, sc in next sc, ch 3; rep from * around; join with sl st in first sc.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Using yarn needle, weave in all ends.
